This finished Duarte Lateef black-and-white high-top represents a significant milestone in the house’s early footwear development. The original physical prototype received an Honorable Mention from the Global Footwear Awards in April 2020.

The object preserves the original black-and-white construction, architectural overlay system, rear zip, metal spike detailing, gemstone element and sculpted sole architecture developed from the original concept.

The finished prototype was tried on solely for photography connected to the Global Footwear Awards submission and was never subsequently worn. Minor outsole surface dirt remains from the flooring used during that photography session and is preserved as part of the artifact’s documented history.

PRIVATE ACQUISITION

The purchaser would be acquiring the single original physical prototype associated with the April 2020 Global Footwear Awards Honorable Mention. Only one prototype is available. This is not a reproduction, later production version or reissue. Once acquired, this original specification will not be reproduced.
